Single ticket sold in Michigan wins whopping $320MILLION Powerball jackpot
A lucky Michigan resident has won last night’s whopping $320 million Powerball Jackpot, according to lottery officials. A single ticket sold somewhere in the state matched all five numbers and the red ‘Powerball’ to win the fourth biggest prize in the game’s history and the 10th largest lottery jackpot ever in the United States. The winner, who is almost certainly laughing all the way to the bank, has not been named and it is not yet clear where they bought the winning ticket. Americans were furiously checking their lottery tickets after last night’s draw to see if they had the winning numbers. In the nail-biting draw, the numbers were announced as 56, 27, 46, 6 and 51. And the Powerball was 21. The jackpot grew to a whopping $320 million after no one matched all six numbers from last Saturday’s draw. The current record for the largest Powerball jackpot is $365 million, which was won by a group of food plant workers in Nebraska six years ago.
