A jury found the rapper not guilty yesterday (July 9) afternoon.
Jurors in Miami-Dade have found rapper Pitbull not guilty of driving under the influence in a case that stemmed from a 2007 arrest. The Latin artist was acquitted late Thursday after jurors deliberated for about three hours. (Sun-Sentinel)
His lawyers reportedly claimed the inaccuracy behind arresting officer’s tactics led to false charges.
The 28 year-old was charged in December 2007 with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. Police administered field sobriety tests, which they say he failed. His lawyers argued in court that the tests were inconclusive because they were given on a ramp, not a smooth surface.
