Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, whose lawsuit against health care reform moved forward Monday, has ruled that his state’s law enforcement officials can ask to check the immigration status of anyone they arrest or even stop.Cuccinelli’s legal opinion, written in response to a conservative state delegate’s request, could expand on a 2008 Virginia law requiring police to check the legal status of anyone taken into custody on suspicion of having committed a crime.The opinion also explicitly compares standing Virginia law to the pending Arizona immigration law, which some Virginia activists see as a roadmap for their own state policy.”Virginia law enforcement officers have the authority to make the same inquiries as those contemplated by the new Arizona law,” Cuccinelli wrote. “So long as the officers have the requisite level of suspicion to believe that a violation of the law has occurred, the officers may detain and briefly question a person they suspect has committed a federal crime.”(HuffPost)

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Justin Bieber is adding movie star to his resume.

Paramount Pictures, MTV Films and Bieber’s record label, Island Def Jam, say the 16-year-old pop star has signed on to appear in a feature film about his life and career. The yet-to-be-titled movie is set for release on “Valentine’s weekend” of 2011, the companies said Tuesday.Bieber will also be producing the film, along with mentor Usher, manager Scooter Braun and Island Def Jam Music Group chairman LA Reid.The movie will offer a “VIP backstage pass” into Bieber’s life and will feature 3-D footage from his “My World 2.0″ concert tour.The ubiquitous teen sensation is also bringing his life to readers: HarperCollins announced Monday that it will publish his memoir in October.

MIAMI, Fla. -NBC reports that the woman accused of undergoing cosmetic treatments from South Florida doctors, then leaving without paying, has been arrested.

The website says Miami police picked up Maria Elizabeth Chrysson, 29, and booked her into a Miami-Dade jail on three charges of grand theft.

In cosmetology circles she was known as the “Beauty Bandit.”

Doctors claim she had been going from clinic to clinic stealing Botox treatments.

A hoax last February forced Cosby to first make a public statement that he is alive and doing well.By the time of the third hoax on Monday, Cosby was not amused and he went on CNN’s “Larry King Show” to tell the pranksters to stop.”I don’t know. It’s my condition as an artist,” she says. She is also a little paranoid about having relationships. “I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina.”The singer also frankly discusses her battle with drugs: “I was completely mental and had just been through so much,” but reveals that she is “terrified of heroin” and still does “mostly cocaine.”

She admits to drug use, but strongly cautions her fans: “I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way. I don’t want my fans to think they have to be that way to be great. It’s in the past. It was a low point, and it led to disaster.”

How her mother responded: “All I will say is I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I’ll never forget it. And she said, ‘I’m coming to get you.’”

Her grandmother’s advice: “I cried. I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I’ve worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now? And she said, ‘I’m gonna let you cry for a few more hours.
