Pepsi is going on a reunion tour with The King of Pop. The Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo Inc. is today announcing its deal with the estate of Michael Jackson to use the late pop star’s image for its new global marketing blitz. The nature of the promotion will vary by country, but will include a TV ad, special edition cans bearing Jackson’s image and chances to download remixes of some of Jackson’s most famous songs. Pepsi, which first partnered with Jackson in 1983, did not disclose the terms of its deal with the singer’s estate. The promotion is part of a global marketing blitz planned for the year ahead by Pepsi, which is looking to revive its brand and win back market share from The Coca-Cola Co.

The only thing more offensive than the language that spewed from the crowd at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night was the form of basketball those angry fans had to witness. The Heat played like a team that knew the series was already over. There wasn’t much energy or effort beyond LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, which left Miami vulnerable for the first time this postseason. But the Knicks just didn’t have enough to make this first round even slightly interesting. And so, the Heat had seven more turnovers than assists, shot just 42.6 percent but still defeated the Knicks 87-70 in Game 3 of this first-round series.

Soon the whole world may be able to see what the Secret Service did. The Colombian hooker at the center of last month’s sex scandal is negotiating a deal to pose nude for either Playboy or Hustler, according to a report. Dania Suaréz has worked with photographers and is looking to sell her body – again – to the highest bidder. “This is the way this is going to end,” said a Colombian official who asked not to be identified told El Nuevo Herald Tuesday. “She’s going to pose nude in Playboy, where a renowned journalist will interview her and write an article telling the whole story of what happened,” the official told the Spanish-language paper. Larry Flynt, the publisher of Hustler, confirmed that Suarez took photos but that a deal has not yet been struck. However, a spokeswoman at Playboy told the Herald that the skin magazine had not spoken to Suarez. Suarez, 24, demanded that agent Arthur Huntington pay her $800 for a “date” night – but the cheapskate agent only ponied up $28. That prompted the brunette bombshell to cause a scene in the hallways of the Cartagena hotel, which set off a chain of events that ensnared more than two dozen agents and members of the U.S. military. Nine agents, including Huntington, have been forced out of the Secret Service, which has changed its code of conduct to prevent further embarrassing incidents. President Obama had not yet arrived in Cartagena when the Americans allegedly brought more than 20 hookers back to their rooms in the Hotel Caribe. The Daily News printed the first photos of Suaréz – clad in a bikini – but the prostitute has stayed out of the spotlight in the weeks after the scandal. It was not immediately known how much money she was seeking for the nude photos. Huntington, 41, and his family have apparently abandoned their Maryland home and have gone into hiding. His wife told relatives that she planned to stay with the disgraced former agent. NY Daily

¿A quién sacarías y a quién pondríanos? Envíanos tu comentario. It’s the stuff of nightmares – and it was sold for $119,922,500 million. Edvard Munch’s impressionist masterpiece, The Scream, was put up for auction at Sotheby’s in New York City this evening and was sold for a record-breaking price. Mr Munch beat out Pablo Picasso for the most expensive artwork ever auctioned. Norwegian businessman Petter Olsen, whose father Thomas was a friend, neighbor and patron of Mr Munch, sold the 1895 icon to fund a new museum in honor of Mr Munch’s life and work. Everyone from Andy Warhol to the creators of The Simpsons have paid homage to the defining painting of human angst. Sotheby’s expected the price to exceed $80 million, but $119 million beat out everyone’s wildest expectations. Mr Picasso’s Nude, Green Leaves, and Bustwas sold by Christie’s in 2010 for just $106.5 million. The auction asking price started at $50 million for the work and lasted just 15 minutes before an unnamed telephone bidder gave the final offer. The auction room at Sotheby’s exploded in applause. ‘I have lived with this work all of my life, and its power and energy have only increased with time,’ owner Petter Olsen said of The Scream. ‘Now however, I feel the moment has come to offer the rest of the world a chance to own and appreciate this remarkable work.’

Newt Gingrich has finally called a halt to what he described as ‘a truly wild ride’ that he hoped would end with him in the White House, pledging to help defeat President Barack Obama but stopping short of endorsing Mitt Romney. In a rambling speech in a hotel meeting room crammed with reporters and aides but few if any members of the public, the former Speaker of the House of Representative said his campaign had been ‘amazing and astonishing’ but would now be suspended.

Putting a bag in the overhead bin will soon cost some Spirit Airlines passengers $100, which is more than they may have paid for their flight. The Miramar, Florida, airline currently charges $45 at the gate for a carry-on bag. As of November 6, just days before Thanksgiving, customers who wait to pay the carry-on baggage fee at the boarding gate will have to fork over $100. Any bag that needs to fit in the overhead bin is considered a carry-on. Luckily, a small bag that fits under the seat is still free. The price for a carry-on bought at an airport kiosk will increase to $50 from $40. Larger pieces of luggage checked at the airport will cost between $8 and $10 more, while the fee for bags checked online will rise by between $2 and $5. Spirit will also increase a handful of other fees by between $2 and $10. Spirit is one of two airlines that charge for carry-ons; Allegiant is the other.
