(CNN) — A decision on who is eligible to run for president in Haiti has been postponed until Friday, leaving hip-hop artist Wyclef Jean and the other presidential hopefuls in limbo, said Berto Dorce, Jean’s lawyer. Haiti’s election commission was scheduled to make a decision Tuesday night. Jean’s eligibility was under question after claims that he has not lived in Haiti for five consecutive years before the election, a mandate in the nation’s Constitution. Jean’s lawyer said his client meets that criteria. “His candidacy has been contested and we went to court and proved that he is legally entitled to run for president,” Dorce said. “Jean’s position is pretty strong. He should be on the list.” Dorce said Jean has been paying taxes in Haiti, which makes him eligible.

James uncertain if Gilbert “ever cared” about him: Adding a new layer to the rift between LeBron James and Dan Gilbert, the NBA’s two-time reigning MVP and new Miami Heat forward has told GQ magazine that he isn’t sure the Cleveland Cavaliers owner “ever cared” about him during their time together. In an article released Tuesday, James spoke of how widespread criticism of his decision — and how he chose to make it a television event — is fueling him this offseason, plus reiterated how Ohio will always remain his home. But perhaps his sharpest words were reserved for Gilbert, the owner who lashed out at him shortly after James announced that he would be joining the Heat.”I don’t think he ever cared about LeBron,” James is quoted as saying. “My mother always told me: ‘You will see the light of people when they hit adversity. You’ll get a good sense of their character.’ Me and my family have seen the character of that man.” James took particular umbrage to those who questioned a focus other than toward the sport. “People questioning how much I love the game,” he said, “that’s never been something I haven’t cherished. Every night on the court I give my all, and if I’m not giving 100 percent, I criticize myself.” (GQ)

The billionaire heir to a shipping and bottle-plant empire, currently ranked 45th in the Sunday Times Rich List with an estimated fortune of £1.15 billion, made the pledge as part of a publicity stunt for a new website. Almost three months ago the Nigerian born businessman, 42, established the battlecam site, which offers people thousands of pounds if they perform, and video, crazy stunts live through the site.  As part of the real-time site’s promotion Mr Alki, also an actor, producer and entrepreneur, initially offered $100,000 to the person who successfully streaked in front of the US President. But on Tuesday, the Filmontv boss dramatically raised the stakes to $1 million (£639,000) after being told the prize money was “not enough” to warrant such a daring prank. The only catch is the person has to have the website’s name scrawled across their stomach. (TeleGraph)

(CNN) — Erykah Badu must pay a $500 fine and serve six months on probation for her naked stroll through downtown Dallas, Texas, while making a music video last March, a city official confirmed Tuesday. Badu reached a plea deal to settle a misdemeanor disorderly conduct citation issued after she released a music video, according to Dallas spokesman Jose Torres. The singer shed her clothes as she walked through Dealey Plaza until she was nude and then fell near where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Badu said the video was “shot guerrilla style,” without a crew and in one take March 17, 2010. Badu then posted a message on her Twitter account acknowledging that “there were children there.” She said she prayed they wouldn’t be traumatized by seeing her naked. It wasn’t until several days after the video for the song “Window Seat” was released on March 28 that anyone who witnessed the taping filed a complaint with Dallas Police. Only then did police issue a citation against Badu. Under the plea agreement, the offense will be erased from Badu’s criminal record if she successfully completes the 180 days probation. “If she violates any law at the city, state or federal level, a motion to adjudicate (seeking to revoke probation) will be filed,” Torres said. “If the motion to adjudicate is granted, Ms. Badu will have a criminal conviction.”

Los Angeles, California (CNN) — Reality TV star Tila Tequila said she wants to bankrupt organizers of the “Gathering of the Juggalos” festival where an angry crowd attacked her with rocks and bottles last weekend. “I’m hoping this will be the last juggalos gathering that they will ever have,” Tequila said Monday in an interview with E-Online. Her lawyer is preparing to sue the festival, which is organized for fans of the hip-hop group Insane Clown Posse. Festival organizers did not respond to CNN requests for a response. This was the event’s 11th year, the fourth in rural Hardin County, Illinois. Cuts on the Playboy model and singer’s face required stitches. And her body is covered with bruises, she said.
