Fiona Apple arrested at Texas border after cops find hashish, marijuana aboard tour bus
Now we know what was in Fiona Apple’s “Paper Bag.” The singer-songwriter is now a full-fledged “Criminal” after getting arrested at a Texas border stop when cops found hashish on her tour bus, law enforcement officials told TMZ. The 35-year-old is in good company – Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg were also busted on drug possession charges in tiny Sierra Bianca, Texas. Apple was charged with possession and spent Wednesday night in the county jail. She was released Thursday on a $10,000 bond, the Associated Press reported. The arrest comes as Apple is in the middle of a tour for her comeback album, “The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw, and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.” She’s scheduled to play Manhattan’s Terminal 5 on Oct. 16 and 17.
