Fat Joe has been cleared of rape allegations in Madison, Wisconsin. Fat Joe, AKA Joseph Cartagena, and his entourage were accused of sexual assault after a local performance. Fat Joe and his entourage were detained and questioned by police immediately following the incident on Sunday (June20th). The woman, according to Fat Joe, posed as a fan initially and then asked for money while riding in a limo from the show to the hotel with Joe. Fat Joe and his entourage were investigated by Madison authorities who have cleared them of all accusations.

Official documents from the investigation state that Fat Joe never met, touched, or interacted with the 33-year-old woman. In a statement released by his lawyer, Fat Joe revealed the woman attempted to extort him. “Making a false claim of a sexual nature in order to extort money is one of the most horrific accusations because it not only tarnishes reputations but has the potential to destroy families. “
