Demi Moore hints at marriage trouble on Twitter

Demi Moore mused about how to deal with ‘anger’ the night before spending her wedding anniversary alone last weekend, it has emerged.  The 48-year-old actress is facing claims she has ‘separated’ from her husband of six years amid fresh rumours of infidelity. Ashton Kutcher, 33, who is 15 years her junior, allegedly had a liaison with another woman after an alcohol-fuelled evening on Friday, according to U.S. showbusiness  website Radar Online. It said it was given the information by ‘multiple friends of the 23-year-old woman’, named by another website as Sara Leal. She has reportedly hired a top Hollywood lawyer and gone into hiding. It is the second time in a year that Kutcher, 33, has been accused of cheating on  48-year-old Miss Moore. The latest alleged encounter happened on the 12th floor of the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California, in the early hours of Saturday – the Hollywood couple’s sixth wedding anniversary.

Fox show Terra Nova predicts the future… and puts Obama’s face on $1,000 bill

There has been much debate about the huge amounts of money Fox is spending in production costs for their new sci-fi series Terra Nova. One thing that has been overlooked by the decision makers, however, is what type of money they’re spending. A glimpse of the fictional $1,000 bill on Monday’s première was adorned with President Obama’s face. However those at the conservative NewsCorp-owned network may have a problem with that decision. The relationship between Rupert Murdoch’s Fox network and the president is notoriously strained. In June at a conference at the New York Forum, Mr Murdich said: ‘It’s irresponsible of President Obama – I shouldn’t say corrupt – to seemingly stand aloof on various important issues while focusing only on a select few.’  He also categorised health care reform – an issue close to the President’s heart – as ‘a fiction’ and deemed America’s immigration policy as ‘an absolute scandal’.Gone are the days when the media mogul called the then-Presidential candidate ‘a rock star’ in 2008. The U.S. political landscape has changed during Mr Obama’s first term as the Tea Party has come to the fore as Mr Murdoch’s Fox news has become increasingly anti-Democrat.

Anthrax scare at CBS studios as white powder spills from envelope addressed to Dancing With The Stars

Police and emergency vehicles dashed to CBS’s studio complex in Hollywood on Wednesday afternoon after white powder spilled out of a letter in the mailroom. The envelope was simply addressed to Dancing With The Stars, not one individual. Los Angeles police said the powder was harmless after a hazardous materials team was called to CBS Television City to gather it up and test it.  It was days before the finale where Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey and Bristol Palin faced off for the prize. In August of this year, an envelope addressed to The Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson was packed with white powder and a threatening letter. That letter came from overseas, and the powder was also found to be harmless. Television City houses production for many television shows, including ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, Fox’s American Idol and The Price is Right. Mr Ender did not say what extra safety precautions CBS may take in the future. Daily Mail

E. Coli Scare Prompts Tyson Ground Beef Recall

Tyson Fresh Meats Inc. is recalling about 131,300 pounds of ground beef because a family in Ohio fell ill after eating meat produced by the company that was contaminated with E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported Wednesday. The recall involves beef sold as Kroger brands at Kroger Co. supermarkets; Butcher’s Beef at Food Lion supermarkets; and generic beef sold to SAV-A-LOT, Spectrum Foods, Supervalu and the Defense Commissary Agency, company spokesman Gary Mickelson told The Associated Press. Tyson produced the affected meat at its plant in Emporia, Kan., on Aug. 23, the USDA said in a news release. Four children became ill after eating the meat with their family in Butler County, Ohio, in the second week of September, said Butler County Health Department director Pat Burg. A 9-year-old child was hospitalized for about 10 days with severe diarrhea, said Burg, who declined to release the family’s name. NBC

Loughner Can Become Mentally Fit for Trial

Jared Lee Loughner, the 23-year-old man accused in the Jan. 8 Tucson shooting spree that left 6 dead and wounded 13, can eventually be made mentally fit to stand trial, a federal judge ruled Wednesday. U.S. District Judge Larry Burns extended Loughner’s detention at a prison facility in Springfield, Mo. for four more months while he undergoes treatment for schizophrenia. The judge added, “measurable progress has been made” in restoring Loughner to where he could assist in his defense. A psychologist who worked with Loughner testified earlier Wednesday that he understands that he killed people and feels remorse. One of those wounded included Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. MSNBC

Michael Jackson Death Trial

A desperate, drug-addicted insomniac racked with anxiety about his coming concert series: that is how a defense lawyer portrayed Michael Jacksonin his last days during opening statements on Tuesday in the involuntary manslaughter trial of the singer’s personal doctor. Ed Chernoff, the defense lawyer, suggested that Jackson was most responsible for his own death and had, against his doctor’s orders, ingested or injected himself with the prescription drugs that killed him. “When Dr. Murray left the room, Michael Jackson self-administered a dose” of anesthetic, Mr. Chernoff said, and that dose, combined with other drugs he had taken, “created a perfect storm in his body that killed him instantly.” Prosecutors argued, however, that it was the doctor’s negligence, in plying Jackson with large amounts of a powerful anesthetic, that had proved fatal. The trial, which is expected to last about five weeks, will hinge on these competing versions of what happened the hours just before and after Jackson’s death on June 25, 2009.
