After being involved in what could have been a tragic jet ski crash, Sean Kingston has been moved from critical to stable condition at a Miami hospital. The ‘Beautiful Girls’ singer and a female passenger were rushed to the emergency room after their jet ski collided with a bridge on Sunday evening. According to People, a bystander “tended” to the hip-hop star and the unidentified female before medics were able to arrive at the scene and transport the pair to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center. “Sean Kingston is now stabilized and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU,” Kingston’s publicist said in a public statement. “Sean’s family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time.”

With its glossy appearance and stylish brand name, it could be mistaken for a luxury perfume. But this elegant pearly white Vogue Perle packet (pictured) in fact conceals ‘fashion cigarettes’ – clearly targeted at young women, campaigners warn. It was created in Paris by British American Tobacco, which has been condemned for trying to make smoking appear fashionable. The company already sells its Vogue brand in 55 countries. However, the Vogue Perle launched here is described as the first demi-slim cigarette. Critics say the design of the pack and cigarette, which has a white filter tip, makes smoking look elegant, sexy and classy. Mail Online
An armed man and woman dressed as nuns robbed a Chicago bank on Sunday in a heist that the FBI said looked like a scene from the movies. The masked thieves made off with a bag full of money after they raided the bank in Palos Heights wearing nun masks and habits like those featured in the film ‘The Town’, said the FBI. Bank surveillance footage shows a resemblance to the eerie plastic-faced disguises that have slits for eyes that were worn by robbers in the 2010 film starring Ben Affleck.
More than 800 people have been stung by swarms of purple jellyfish that washed up on Florida beaches over the Memorial Day weekend. The internet search giant has been working with MasterCard Inc, the world’s second-largest credit and debit card network, and Citibank on the project. It is set to be unveiled in New York and Google has signed up retail partners Macy’s, American Eagle Outfitters and Subway for the launch. However, it isn’t yet clear whether the launch will only apply to New York, or will be nationwide, because Google is keeping its cards close to its chest. The company has invited reporters to attend a ‘partner event’ to demonstrate what it called its ‘latest innovations.’ Sources say Google plans to unveil a mobile payments system that will run on the Android operating system and will be available on phones from Sprint Nextel Corp. That is backed up by the fact that Citigroup, Google, Sprint and MasterCard all declined to comment when asked. The mobile wallet idea was dreamed up around a decade ago and shoppers abroad, especially in Asia, can already wave cellphones at the check-out counter to pay for everything from food to fuel. But it has not yet come to fruition in the U.S. market, hampered by industry infighting, consumer tastes and regulatory hurdles. Read more: Daily Mail
