Hall, director of Nova Southeastern University’s Center for the Study and Prevention of Substance Abuse, and the Florida Medical Examiners Commission, show more than 8,600 deaths in Florida 2009, in which victims had at least one prescription drug in their system that contributed to their passing. La cantante Olga Tañón reaparecerá en los escenarios locales este próximo domingo en el Festival de las Flores en Aibonito, luciendo nueva figura.

Y es que la cantante se sometió el pasado mes de mayo a una cirugía reconstructiva para subirse sus senos. La recuperación fue más larga de lo que tenía previsto, razón por la que no pudo presentarse en Puerto Rico para el concierto del 40 aniversario de El Nuevo Día.

“Me subí las que te conté, pero te soy franca, la recuperación me tomó más tiempo porque cometí unos errores al tomar aspirina, lo que me provocó que me salieran moretones y me diera más dolor, pero ya me encuentro totalmente recuperada”, expresó la cantante en entrevista telefónica desde su hogar en Orlando.

La artista expresó que no tiene ningún problema con recurrir al quirófano las veces que hagan falta para hacerse uno que otro arreglito.

“Lo que me tenga que hacer, lo voy a seguir haciendo; si pudiera recogerme siete libras de muslo y nalgas, también lo haría”, dijo entre risas.

Ese ánimo es reflejo de que la “Mujer de Fuego” ya se siente preparada físicamente para volver a moverse sin problemas, lo que hará este domingo, a partir de las 4:00 de la tarde, en el Festival de las Flores.

Olga Tañón no se presentaba en este evento hacía 13 años, razón por lo que ha montado un espectáculo en el que interpretará sus éxitos.

“Estamos hablando con Ceferino Cabán para que sean éxitos porque para estar estrenando cosas no estamos, creo que debemos hacer lo que la gente quiere escuchar de mí… Quiero llevarle alegría a la gente y que se preparen hasta las flores para bailar”, adelantó.

Luego de esta presentación, la vocalista desconoce si se quedará en Puerto Rico ensayando lo que será la apertura musical de los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, a llevarse a cabo el 17 de julio en el estadio olímpico de Mayagüez. Para este evento la artista compuso el tema Llegó la fiesta, que interpretará rodeada de alrededor 300 personas, que la acompañarán sobre el escenario.

“Recuerdo que en la apertura de los Juegos Panamericanos (1979) yo lloré de principio a fin de tanta emoción y espero que con el bandón que vamos a tener y los bailarines, la gente se emocione igual y que todo el mundo pueda mover ese fondillito”, manifestó.

Olga Tañón quisiera quedarse en Puerto Rico, luego de la apertura de los Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, pero se le hará imposible debido a que se encuentra en plena preparación de su nueva producción discográfica. Se trata de un doble disco de merengue y balada pop, que podría salir a la venta en octubre.

El trabajo musical, que aún no cuenta con título, incluiría 16 melodías, entre ellas Dame tu mano, que compuso la vocalista con la ayuda de Samo del grupo mexicano Camila y que aborda el tema de la violencia.
