Game Presentation and Activities to Have a Latin Flair * HEAT Players to Wear Special El HEAT Jerseys MIAMI, 3/16 – The 2009-10 season marks the fourth year the Miami HEAT will celebrate the NBA’s Noche Latina initiative and for the first time in franchise history, one of its players will be headlining the activities. HEAT guard Carlos Arroyo, a graduate of Miami’s Florida International University with Puerto Rican roots is the first Latin American player to play for the club. The Noche Latina program is the NBA’s annual celebration honoring both players and fans alike who hail from Latin American countries. The Miami HEAT will celebrate the Noche Latina initiative during the following two upcoming home games: the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, March 16 and the Orlando Magic on Thursday, March 18.  “Because Miami has the largest Hispanic fan base in the NBA, for us, every night is a Latin night,” said Eric Woolworth, President of Business Operations for The HEAT Group. “Now that we have Carlos on our roster, we have a direct conduit to our Hispanic fans–we’ve come full circle.” The March 16 and March 18 games will celebrate South Florida’s cultural vibrancy with Latin-themed music, performances, and in-game activities, which include: * Cover of Tipoff magazine featuring Carlos Arroyo draped in a Puerto Rican flag. * Special Carlos Arroyo pre-game video address. * A special introduction sequence featuring local Cuban-American rapper, Pitbull. * Special live performance by Latin Jazz percussionist Tito Puente, Jr. during Player Introductions. * Carlos Arroyo check presentation to local Hispanic community organizations at halftime. * Miami HEAT Dancers Latin routines/performances. * Salsa dancers on the East Plaza at halftime hosted by Univision Radio’s La Kalle 98.3 FM. * Crazy Andy’s Item of the Game will be a special “EL HEAT” t-shirt. * Special in-game video feature hosted by Enrique Santos, radio host for Univision Radio’s LA Kalle 98.3 FM. The 2010 Noche Latina uniform is a black HEAT uniform featuring “EL HEAT” on the front. With the HEAT wearing a dark uniform at home, both the visiting Spurs and Magic will wear their home white uniform during these two games. Pitbull se coronorá como Rey del Carnaval Calle Ocho y, además, será el primer artista en presidir y plasmar su nombre sobre un escenario del prestigioso Carnaval.

El escenario “Pitbull Megastage” estará localizado sobre la SW 22th Avenue de la ciudad de Miami.  Desde ahí, la megaestrella prenderá el Carnaval con su presentación pautada para las 5pm, donde estará acompañado por sus amigos Flo-Rida, El Cata, Sensato, Blackpoint, Uncle Luke  y el locutor Enrique Santos entre muchos otros mas.

ENRIQUE SANTOS EXPLICA LO ACONTECIDO DURANTE SU CONTROVERSIAL ENTREVISTA CON NIURKA MARCOS

Miami, FL (9 de marzo, 2010).— La semana pasada Enrique Santos, el reconocido locutor del programa radial Enrique Santos Show de La Kalle 98.3 FM, se encontró en la posición de tener que correr de sus estudios de grabación a su invitada Niurka Marcos, quien venía acompañada de su novio, el cantante y actor cubano Eduardo Antonio.

Enrique Santos y su popular show de radio son exitosos gracias a la transparencia, originalidad y manera exuberante de realizar sus dinámicas entrevistas, haciéndolo uno de las personas más reconocidas y queridas en la radio de habla hispana y dándole acceso a entrevistar a los artistas más importantes del medio.

Por este medio, Enrique Santos desea rectificar y aclarar su postura con respecto a lo sucedido durante la ya controversial entrevista con Niurka Marco y Eduardo Antonio.

Enrique Santos comentó al respecto:

“Niurka Marcos antes de comenzar la entrevista insultó a un miembro del equipo del programa (Harold Valenzuela), usando palabras no apropiadas, solo porque se le pidió respetuosamente que bajara sus pies de una silla en donde se había sentado.

Le pedí a Niurka que porfavor respetara a mi equipo de trabajo y que no le hablara más a él y que Harold no le hablara más a ella.

A pesar de pedírselo, Niurka continuó con sus insultos.

La mayor parte de la entrevista tuvo que ser censurada debido a un sin número de malas palabras que Niurka utilizó durante la entrevista, a pesar de que se le pidió respetuósamente varias veces que por favor no hablara sucio y dejara de utilizar palabras que están prohibidas por mi empleador (Univisión) y por la FCC (Federal Communications Comission).

Aproveché la entrevista para que Eduardo Antonio, el novio de Niurka, le respondiera a un comentario que se había hecho en el programa El Gordo y la Flaca el día anterior, donde una señora dijo que conocía personalmente a el novio de Eduardo Antonio. La pareja se molestó y de nuevo Niurka comenzó a insultar y decir malas palabras.

Tomando en cuenta que Niurka continuó con sus insultos y vulgaridades y que no veía un fin elegante a la desafortunada situación, decidí despedir a los invitados.

Le deseo lo mejor a Niurka y Eduardo y le pido disculpas a la audiencia que escuchó tan desagradable entrevista.”
