Two gay policemen who became the first British same-sex couple to have a baby through a relative are both married – to other men.
Stephen Ponder, 28, a special constable, and his partner Ivan Sigston, 43, a Hampshire police dog handler, are now fathers to William who was born three weeks ago.
It was Mr Ponder’s sister, Lorna Bradley, who gave birth to the child having conceived using PC Sigston’s sperm.
The body of Homar Laparra, a young man from Guatemala, came ashore — dismembered — in dark plastic bags scattered throughout Miami. Police have no motive, no suspect, and they are desperate for people who saw Omar at a Miami restaurant and nightclub to come forward.
“A reward of $12,000 is being offered for more information about the people killing cat’s in Miami and only $1,200 for tips in Homar’s murder…since when are cats more valuable than humans?” Enrique told his listener’s this morning.

(AP) DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Parents in Florida are complaining about a sculpture of a nude family outside a shopping center west of Delray Beach. Parents of children who attend a nearby elementary school say the bronze statue is inappropriate, and the PTA president e-mailed parents Wednesday asking them to complain.
The sculpture is by artist Itzik Asher and titled “Journey to the New.” It is supposed to represent the journey of Russian and Ethiopian Jews from their homes to Israel. It was previously displayed at other locations in the area.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that Asher’s sculptures have drawn criticism before. In 1995, the Boca Raton City Council made him cover the private parts of several of his sculptures with cardboard fig leaves. The leaves were later removed.
